Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:Monitor, maintain, repair and carry out the preventive maintenance program on the hotel and conference center laundry equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responds to customer calls and complaints in a positive, polite and timely manner. -
• Performs scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on all washers, dryers, ironer and related equipment, including making repairs such as replacing mechanical seals, drive belts, drive motors, pulleys, drain valves, burners, exhaust ventilation, gas valves, ignition control, electrical wiring, bearings, door locking hardware, control panels.
• Maintains appropriate record of preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Visually inspect gauges, dials and mechanical equipment, make basic mathematical calculations, and move and climb on all types of uneven surfaces.
• Interact with the Operating Engineer and assist in start-up, shut down and operation of all Laundry -Equipment.SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONSIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.To assist with the requests to shut off steam, water and gas suppliesAssist in the monitoring and maintenance of stand pipe, sprinkler and interior fire alarm systemsDue to the cyclical nature of our business, other duties and special projects may be assigned, such as serving on the hotel safety committeePowered by JazzHR
