Senior Mechanical Engineer (5+ yrs Automated Equipment/Machine Design exp. req.)
Location: Leander, TX
Salary: up to $120,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday; -45-50 hours/week
Travel: 10% - 20% with some overnight trips

Senior Mechanical Engineer Description

Our client in the automation engineering industry is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to add to their team in Leander, Texas. Reporting to the president/owner, you will work with cross-functional team members and provide technical leadership specifying, designing, and managing specialty machine projects from concept thru product release. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing processes for automation and light manufacturing; excellent communication skills; and strong leadership, resolution skills, and decision-making abilities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to be involved in the start-to-finish development of some of the latest technology products in the world today.

Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities

--- Lead the technical specifications and design efforts
--- Manage specialty machine projects from concept through to product release
--- Collaborate with internal teams in management, controls, robotics, and manufacturing
--- Mentor designers, engineers, and technicians
--- Work with customers to develop project scope, cost estimate, schedule, internal resources, etc.
--- Ensure products meet the required mechanical design goals

Senior Mechanical Engineer Qualifications

--- Bachelor's Degree required
--- 5+ years of machine design & engineering for automated equipment experience required
--- 3D CAD experience required
