Senior Calibration Engineer - Diagnostics

What you will be doing:
-
- Develop diagnostics requirements and controls for Class 8 truck
applications
- Lead all diagnostic and remedial action system design
activities.
- Develop robust OBD diagnostics monitoring function and remedial
action methodologies for the hybrid system
- Develop control requirements, interfaces, and diagnostic
control algorithms for torque path, thermal, high voltage controls,
functional safety, and other functions
- Serve as technical contributor for the diagnostics on the
architecture and development of new features
- Guide and advise engineering team on diagnostics control system
development and integration across the entire program
lifecycle
- Create and manage diagnostic project plans for the Controls
team
- Serve as the primary diagnostics technical interface for the
Controls team with internal and external teams, stakeholders,
suppliers, and customers.
- Work with the Compliance team and base software to ensure that
the diagnostics meet regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following
areas:

- Controls development in MATLAB/Simulink or C
- Comprehensive component monitoring development for heavy duty
OBD compliance
- Vehicle and powertrain control algorithm development and
calibration
- Hybrid/electric torque path, thermal, and HV
architectures
- Experience with software testing environments such as MiL, SiL,
HiL, and vehicle
- Controller Area Networks (CAN) experience (J1939 is a
plus)
- Knowledge and experience with major automotive or Class 8
systems
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with ETAS, Vector, etc.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems
Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in relevant engineering roles
