MAIN CAMPUS----Job Details:General NotesThis position will end
effective one year from start date. Subsequent annual renewal of
employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards
research goals, and continuation of funding.PurposeCenik lab
focuses on transcriptome-wide approaches for measuring mRNA
translation. The current position is for a highly independent
scientist who will apply these approaches in addressing basic
biological questions related to human health and disease.
Responsibilities
- Assist PI with daily lab operations including but not limited
to assisting graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
- Preparation of high-throughput sequencing libraries, conducting
molecular biology and human cell culture experiments.
- Share research findings by writing manuscripts and oral
presentations. Required QualificationsPh.D in Biotechnology,
Molecular Biology, Genetics or equivalent. Experience with high
throughput sequencing library generation and analysis. Familiarity
with statistical data analysis. Excellent communication skills as
evidenced by previous publications and presentations. Relevant
education and experience may be substituted as
appropriate.Salary$57,000Working Conditions
