Samsung Austin Semiconductor strives to be the World's Best Foundry.The Process Integration Technology Development (PI TD) team is focused on incoming technology transfer, product optimization, new product introductions, yield improvement, process margin improvement and performance enhancement. As part of the Advanced Node Process Integration team, you will provide Process Integration for products in a high volume production environment as well as optimization of newer products introduced exclusively at SAS.Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for critical or complex steps/layers in the Metal Gate & Contact module fabrication process.Leads projects related to incoming technology transfer, process development, new product introduction, yield improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reductions and other KPI improvements.Design, execute, and analyze experiments.Uses software to analyze data including statistical analysis; Consults with leadership team on experimental results in order to make decisions about large-scale changes.Lead / participate in Task Force Teams as needed.Must have expert understanding of overall process flow in assigned areas.Develops strong expertise in technology domain to support Change Point Management Plans.Communicates technical information effectively to leadership through presentations.Completes other duties as assigned.Workdays & Hours: M-F, 1st Shift, 8 AM to 5 PM.Skills and QualificationsBachelors with at least 2 yrs relevant experience in semiconductors or Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering related field is required.16nm/14nm/10nm (or more advanced FinFET nodes) wafer manufacturing technology experience is highly preferred.Experience in optimizing CMOS Gate module or Contact module processes for manufacturability, uniformity and yield is desirable.Working knowledge of all unit processes including Thin Films Deposition (CVD, ALD, PVD Metals and Dielectrics), Lithography, Etch, Diffusion, Wet Process, Electroplating and CMP.Understanding of the interactions between process and yield, product performance and reliability.Experience within one or more Unit Parts / Process Manufacturing groups is strongly preferred.Proven project management skills .Analysis skills, including yield analysis, electrical device characterization, yield issue investigations, data mining, DOE, and SPC .Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and various statistical analysis programs (i.e. JMP, Spotfire).Programming and/or scripting experience is a plus.Must be capable of shifting focus and changing priorities - dealing with ambiguity.Demonstrates strong core values: Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Quality, and Continuous Learning.Must have excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills.Must have interpersonal skills to escalate issues, get support, and effect lasting change.Must have proven skills of peer leadership, and mentoring of junior level engineers.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.Must be able to work on different shifts based on project need.* Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
