Located in Austin, TX, we are a scientific group that designs and
manufactures digital cameras and imaging systems.We are searching
for an experienced FPGA design and verification engineer to lead
new product development and commercialization of our high-speed,
data acquisition host adapters! PCIe, DDR memory and DMA are
critical to this project for a senior person especially since a
fair amount of what we are doing with the DDR and DMA are with
homespun boards that this person would be working on developing....
We are still in the development phase with a lot more to go!

What You Will Be Doing
- Transfer technology from the RD division- Help build out core
technical team- Work with clients on product requirements- Develop
FPGAs (coding, test, verification, timing closure)- Design
high-speed hardware data paths- Bring FPGA subsystem from concept
through release to manufacturing
What You Need for this Position
High proficiency with high and low speed interfaces such as PCIe,
DDR, DMA, JESD, I2C, and SPI is a MUST!REQUIRED- BS in EE, ECE, or
Physics- FPGA-based, board-level architecture and design- VHDL
and/or Verilog skills including logical and physical design- Timing
closure- Xilinx FPGA design flow and simulation tools- High-speed
(GHz) serial and DDR3 implementations / High-speed (GHz) PCB design
techniques- Design of data-intensive architectures and functional
blocks (radar, lidar, HDTV)- Signal processing algorithms, host
architectures, and host data storage devices and optimization
techniques- Electronic device commercialization- PCIe Host Adaptor
Card designPREFERRED- Imaging Systems experience- DSP experience-
Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related
