Job Description Job Description Leading commercial framing, drywall, and ACT contractor looking to add an Estimator/ Project Manager to our winning team. Convergent Drywall is looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-passed environment with professionalism and accuracy to details. The Estimator/PM is responsible for managing multiple aspects of the jobs from start to finish including project estimation, production scheduling, client communication, subcontractor communication, and reporting. As a key member of the Estimating team, reporting directly to the COO, the Drywall Estimator/ PM will: Review digital plans, specifications, and other documents to compile a comprehensive estimate on project less than $1mm including steel framing, drywall and acoustical ceilings. Computing total costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements for each scope and task Follow up with general contractors to ensure bids are received and completed Provide leadership to project teams and be a hands-on leader Ability to follow up and communicate with the field, oversee and manage construction projects Ability to manage cost and labor control, track field productivity and keep projects within budget and report Travel to local job sites and complete bidding and/ or pre construction job walks Managing emails, bid invitations, and material pricing Managing relationships with clients and subcontractor partners, and vendors Able to determine problems and deliver project solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction. Ability to estimate and see a project through finish while making a strong profit Requirements 5 years of experience in commercial framing/ drywall & ACT systems as a Project Manager/ Estimator Must be Proficient with On-Screen Takeoff & Quick Bid Must be a self-starer and capable of being a leader Must be a self-motivator and ability to be successful without being pushed or micromanaged Must have a great personality, leadership skills, and be coachable and teachable Exercise strong communications skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with general contractors and vendors and other industry personal Keeping with the company core values of being flexible and dedicated Provide value engineering suggestions, alternates, or price breakouts, as well as prepare an accurate quantitative takeoff, as needed Prepare proposals, as well as present completed bids Send off for vendor price quotes as needed Prepare accurate estimates for a variety of different types and sizes of projects which will include pricing for drywall, acoustical and specialty products Read and understand plans, specifications, and contract documents Compensation Candidates can expect an excellent base paid time off & other benefits Benefits Paid Time Off Paid Health Insurance Flexible Schedule Gas / Truck Allowance Company Laptop Company Description Convergent Drywall is one of the leading and fastest growing commercial drywall contractors in the Austin market.
