Job Description:
CarMax, the nation's largest retailer of used vehicles, is
seeking a dedicated Second Shift Maintenance Technician to join our
Technical & Maintenance team. This position is crucial for ensuring
our service departments operate at peak efficiency by maintaining
and repairing equipment used in the reconditioning process of
vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
industrial maintenance, a keen attention to detail, and a
commitment to upholding the high-quality standards of CarMax.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on various mechanical
and electrical equipment. Diagnose and repair issues with
hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ensure compliance
with environmental regulations. Maintain clean and organized work
areas to promote safety and efficiency. Record maintenance and
repair work performed and the time taken. Help in maintaining
inventory of repair equipment and supplies. Proficiency in
troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical
systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and
schematics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective
communication skills and the ability to work under minimal
supervision. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k Technical
certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical
Engineering is preferred.
