Rooster Teeth is seeking a VP - Head of Marketing: an inspiring and visionary brand leader to guide the growth of a 360--direct-to-consumer brand and reinvigorate the brand story for a new generation of fans, across the growing portfolio of offerings from original entertainment content to consumer products to live events. This marketing leader will partner with the GM and other key stakeholders to craft a strategic brand architecture that guides all marketing initiatives, including product marketing, e-commerce, podcast network, licensing/ merchandising, creative services, social media, and influencer marketing teams. As an empowering leader, the VP Marketing will oversee a dynamic team, mentoring, hiring, and developing a world-class marketing organization, and scale Rooster Teeth's authentic community-minded creative-driven culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES As a highly engaged brand leader, you will help Rooster Teeth achieve its vision and goals by: --- Leading the development of a brand architecture that encompasses the entire portfolio of Rooster Teeth properties and serves as the strategic foundation for all marketing initiatives--- Overseeing and growing the marketing team as both a thought leader and mentor, and working closely with others--- Inspiring development of thoughtful marketing strategy and brand plans for all Rooster Teeth channels (podcast network, ad sales, studio and all studio partners advertisers & brands, content, and live events)

  • Lead internal team and external agencies on programs and initiatives across all digital (search, social, influencer tactics, display, affiliates) to engage target audiences in meaningful ways
  • Drive development of high impact messaging and storytelling, collaborating with internal/external partners
  • Identify new high-potential channels and evolve member model; test and incorporate into the broader marketing plan--- Applying a brand marketing lens to achieve synergy with the content team; push to align brand positionings, utilize customer insights, and help fuel monetizable buzz worthy content--- Oversee customer acquisition and digital marketing strategies focused on acquiring and retaining members--- Leverage data and analytics to understand all Rooster Teeth communities and optimize marketing opportunities, establishing dashboards for KPIs--- Oversee marketing budget across channels to meet goals/metrics
    KEY SUCCESS MEASURES --- Newly created brand architecture/brand vision guides all marketing initiatives --- Increased audience engagement and revenue/ad dollars seen in fan service subscription model and across social media platforms--- Systems are in place to track and measure performance--- Marketing team is engaged with high retention levels, and Unique Rooster Teeth culture (community minded, passionate collaborative) continues to thrive
    QUALIFICATIONS --- B.A. or B.S. in marketing, economics,(M.A. or M.B.A. preferred) or equivalent experience preferred--- 15+ years of experience in brand marketing roles--- Ability to promptly establish priorities and communicate expectations --- Pop culture enthusiast; fluency in modern digital landscape (YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Twitter, etc)--- Customer insight, analytics, market analysis & segmentation experience--- A track record of building and leading team that drives efficient growth --- Background in community building, and relationship management--- Demonstrable expertise with brands in the direct to consumer, digital marketing, start-up and/or fast growth company space--- Ability to establish credibility and build rapport through thought leadership, marketing expertise and implementation--- Humble, self effacing, high EQ/low ego, value & mission driven
