Provide administrative associate office support for a large grant research project on audience-building among performing arts organizations.

  • Includes but is not limited to such assigned activities as processing and tracking administrative documents through UT systems (e.g., service agreements, RTAs, invoices); tracking project expenditures and budget (e.g., entering expenses into the project budget template, review/check expenses as reported in Tableau, reviewing quarterly financial reports)
  • Interview transcript processing (e.g., receive/ log/transfer audio files to transcriptionist, proofread transcripts, track status of transcripts); typing/entering data; maintain and update internal spreadsheets; provide other clerical and administrative support related to a large research project. The above are typical tasks, not all performed daily. Will observe confidentiality rules and procedures and human subject protocols associated with the study.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, or high school graduation or GED, and five years of clerical experience. Ability to perform functions listed above. High level of detail orientation, accuracy, and organization. Flexibility, ability to manage multiple tasks, and adaptability as job tasks may vary week to week. Proficient in Word and Excel. Ability to strictly maintain confidentiality of data and project materials. Comparable work experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    More than required qualifications. Prior experience with *Define and other programs used to perform job functions (Tableau, Point Plus) strongly preferred. Experience with research projects, coding, qualitative data software.

    Hourly Rate

    $19.00+ depending on qualifications

      Work Shift
      • Hour per week - 20
      • Please note - hours per week maybe considered between 20 to 30 hours per week,
      • A work schedule will be set, and will fall within standard work hours of 8-5. However, the position has flexibility as to what those hours will be (mornings, afternoons, etc.).

          Employment Eligibility:
          Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.           Retirement Plan Eligibility:
          The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
