What You\'ll do
Cloudflare is growing our People & Places team. With over 700 employees in offices all around the world, we need a seasoned leader to build our Total Rewards organization. We need your expertise in both compensation and benefits to support our fast growth, ensuring our rewards are competitive within each market and aligned with our business goals and company values.
As the Head of Total Rewards, you will need to be both hands-on and strategic: scaling our comp and benefits infrastructure, defining and refining our programs and building a team. You will drive the creation of a global Total Rewards philosophy and strategy that support the organization s strategic objectives, are competitive, cost effective and aligned with the company s talent management processes. Key components include base pay structures, merit programs, equity and health and welfare programs.
You will regularly analyze and assess market data, industry trends, and best practices to create a market competitive Total Rewards programs. Using this knowledge, you will bring thought leadership to defining the value proposition for the future development of programs. You will lead the quarterly compensation planning strategy and process. In partnership with Legal and Finance, you will be a critical member of the Compensation Committee.
Along with our benefits manager, you will lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment cycles. You will be responsible for market analysis, plan design, cost modeling, stakeholder management, communication and system configuration.
This is a cross-functional role that requires close collaboration with other members of the People Team and with leaders across the company. Close alignment with legal and finance is imperative. This is a new position and reports to the Head of People.
Who You Are:
With over 10 years relevant experience, you are motivated by building world-class systems and robust comp and benefits programs. You can clearly articulate how Total Rewards plays a strategic role in the company s operational effectiveness. You also have some innovative ideas around Total Rewards and its evolving role in technology companies.
You have built a number of large-scale reward or recognition programs from the ground up, ideally at a technology start-up. You understand the big picture around compensation and can use the various levers effectively. You are an expert on equity as a compensation tool, and have experience with executive compensation.
You bring an expertise in the system, financial, legal and tax implications of global Total Rewards programs. You operate with a global mindset, have a keen business acumen and a track record of partnering closely with business leaders, recruiting and business partner organizations.
You also have experience with corporate board s Compensation Committees - either contributing the agenda, creating documents and/or as the internal lead.
