  • For more details, please see: and .Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.PurposeThis position will provide customer service to students and departments by performing accounting and related assignments including the recording, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting of financial data involving departmental scholarships and centralized receivables billing.Responsibilities
    • Support departments and students with scholarship documentation and payment questions in the university Financial Resource Management System and accounting system. Process scholarship cancellations as needed.
    • Assist Tax Services with establishing Glacier records for non-US tax residents and issuing quarterly tax refunds.
    • Maintain daily accounting records and produce receivable reports from multiple university data resources. Assist with monthly reconciliation of Centralized Receivables to Accounting balances.
    • Reconcile daily journal vouchers to ensure proper accounting to Centralized Receivables records (includes web vouchers, credit card vouchers, treasury vouchers, etc.) Research errors in daily vouchers and make appropriate corrections.
    • Process credit card chargebacks, manual credit card refund requests, tuition rebates, and enrollment deposit forfeitures. Research and resolve refund errors for general overpayments and tuition bill refunds.
    • Assist with annual processes for Centralized Receivables such as write-offs transfers, Enrollment Deposit Forfeitures, and Unclaimed Money Fund processing.
    • Other related functions as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Experience in financial reporting and analysis. Experience in report writing. Advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, flexibility and attention to detail. Professional demeanor. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced, student services office. Proficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to perform multiple duties and meet deadlines. Experience working in a university environment. Experience working with internal and external customers. Experience working with databases.
