sponsorship.PurposeThis position provides analysis of student
accounts related to tuition while delivering customer service to
students, parents/guardians, and campus departmental personnel.
Additionally, this position provides financial support to the
Student Accounts Receivable area within Accounting and Financial
Management.Responsibilities
- Prepare invoices, reconcile accounts, and collect payments from
third party agencies and Military. This includes collecting on
outstanding funds, removing student coverage, and communication
with campus partners.
- Assist with the 1098-T process, class auditor permits,
exemption processing and audits, resident tuition entitlement
audit, staff education benefit during the semester, and new hire
training. Also serve as tuition testing lead.
- Provide customer service in a professional manner to students,
parents, and campus department personnel in person, over the phone
and via email regarding tuition billing processes. Requires
analysis and compilation of financial data from a variety of
sources.
- Assist with the bi-weekly reconciliation of tuition & fees
back-end accounting processes. Also serve as backup for SAR
Accounting functions.
- Other related functions as assigned.Required
QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Experience in financial reporting and analysis. Experience in
report writing. Advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated excellent
interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills,
flexibility, and attention to detail. Professional demeanor.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced,
student services office. Proficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel
and Outlook.Equivalent combination of relevant education and
experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred
QualificationsDemonstrated ability to perform multiple duties and
meet deadlines. Experience working in a university environment.
Experience working with internal and external customers. Experience
working with databases. One to three years' experience in
governmental accounting.Salary Range$48,000Working Conditions
