Job Description
AECOM has a position available for a Senior Industrial Hygienist
located in the West Region. The selected candidate will join
AECOM's EHS + Air practice within the Environment Business Line.
The primary emphasis of the group is to support clients with their
EHS regulatory compliance needs for a variety of federal,
municipal, and private-sector clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Managing and executing Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Health & Safety
(H&S) projects for clients in the consulting industry.
Supporting EHS business development efforts, including preparation
of technical and cost proposals, to grow our IH and H&S
compliance work with existing and new clients.
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients to
enhance client retention and growth.
Mentoring junior staff and leading project teams for IH and H&S
work.
The successful candidate will have at least 6 years of IH and
H&S regulatory compliance experience and its application with
demonstrated experience in:
Conducting or providing technical oversight of IH surveys and
inspections at various types of sites for Clients to identify
potential deficiencies or hazards and determine corrective actions
accordingly.
Developing, implementing and maintaining OSHA H&S programs,
systems and procedures for various Clients.
Recommending improvements in processes, design, procedures and
operating equipment for Clients to minimize hazards.
Developing and conducting IH and H&S-related client employee
training, emergency preparedness and assure the quality of programs
for Clients.
Providing on-site IH and H&S support services for various
Clients.
Managing IH and H&S related projects, including budget
preparation, proposal writing, technical oversight of project
execution, and project invoicing.
Mentoring junior IH and H&S professionals to execute various
projects.
Having inn-depth knowledge of regulations including OSHA, NIOSH
regulations.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant environmental and/or STEM-based
discipline plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated
equivalency of experience and/ or education.
Ability to travel up to approximately 1 week per month to conduct
IH surveys or H&S audits.
Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record
verification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 10 years of IH survey and H&S regulatory compliance
experience and its application.
Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH) credentials.
Regulatory compliance audit fieldwork experience.
Additional Information
