Essential Job Functions:

• Assist with entry, review, and posting donations via the Raiser's Edge database to the general ledger.
• Maintain the fixed assets systems by recording asset purchases, disposals, and depreciation as well as assist in the annual fixed assets physical inventory.
• Prepare general journal entries, reconcile, analyze and maintain support for general ledger accounts as assigned.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing of the general ledger including participating in the annual external audit.

• Assist in the payroll process as needed. Working Conditions: The position primarily works in a typical office setting with daily use of the Financial Edge Accounting system, Paylocity payroll system, and other software, specifically Microsoft Office products. There is the occasional need to visit Agency locations and driving on behalf of the agency. This position does occasionally require working extra hours beyond the typical 8-hour workday. Requirements:
  This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with four years of related experience demonstrating a working knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting. Strong computer skills are preferred, particularly with Microsoft Office Excel and Word. Experience working with Paylocity or similar outsource payroll systems is also preferred. This position requires a trustworthy individual who is able to maintain confidence in all areas related to the business and welfare information of the Agency. There are no specific licenses required for this position. Other Requirements: Must hold a valid driver's license, have and maintain a risk-free driving record. Must be willing to undergo initial and periodic child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and child care/elder care disqualification list screenings . As requested, must submit fingerprints for review by the state of your employment and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Must undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment physical with the results showing no evidence of communicable disease.
