Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES -Responsible for reviewing
accounts to ensure accurate reimbursementIdentify payor issues
affecting payment delays and follow-up with Managed CareContacts
patients and other third party payor organizations to secure
payment or arrange alternative payment/settlement plansIdentifies
problem delinquencies and recommends their dispositionIndependently
interacts with federal, state, third party payors, agencies,
physicians, departmental directors and outside related vendors
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE -High school diploma or equivalent is
requiredAt least 1 years of hospital experience dealing with
insurance companies, 3 years preferredKnowledge of payor guidelines
and contracts are requiredExperience in appeals with third party
payors, resulting in reimbursement is a plusMust have working
knowledge of computer, calculator and general office
equipment10-key experience On-line Medicare/Medicaid and Commercial
verification is preferred.
